PGL Bucharestâs Counter-Strike tournaments have a built-in third-place decider match and FaZe Clan will take on Complexity Gaming to determine who gets the proverbial bronze medal.
While PGL tournaments are often fun, Bucharest has been downright dramatic. Thatâs actually built over time, too. Case and point? The two matchups on finals day.
G2 Esports and Team Falcons will face off in the finals after reports of the formerâs roster being poached yet again. In the third-place decider, Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski will take on his former team. Hereâs a full betting breakdown of this match.
SEMI-FINALS! Falcons vs FaZe â HIGHLIGHTS – PGL Bucharest 2025 | CS2
FaZe Clan and Complexity Gaming will play in a best-of-three decider match in the PGL Bucharest playoffs on April 13, 2025. The match is a best-of-three series. PGL doesnât have a defined seasonal structure like BLAST or ESL events, so teams are only playing for pride and prize money; the winner gets $75,000 while the loser gets $43,750
FaZe Clanâs run in PGL Bucharest is eerily similar to the teamâs run in PGL Cluj-Napoca. FaZe had a bit more trouble advancing out of the group stage, but advanced to the playoffs by beating Apogee Esports, Pain Gaming, and Rare Atom.
In the playoffs, the team started by buzzsawing an overachiever at the event; this time beating 3DMAX. Then it came up against a surprisingly strong Team Falcons in the semifinals and was dealt a surprise loss. The FaZe Clan roster stands as follows:
FaZe Clanâs preferred map in 2025 has been Ancient. It has actively looked to play there and has won a strong 69% of its matches there so far. On every other map, the team has gone just about 50-50.
Complexity Gaming has had a surprisingly strong showing in PGL Bucharest, despite underwhelming throughout 2025. The team started the event by beating now-finalists Team Falcons and got into the playoffs with wins over Furia and FaZe Clan.
It drew Aurora Gaming for the semifinals, arguably the strongest team in the whole event, but pulled off a wild 2-1 upset. Unfortunately for Complexity, it fell short of the finals after taking a loss to G2 Esports. The Complexity Gaming roster includes these players:
Complexity Gaming looks to play on Anubis and Train, and it has proven itself able to take on the best in the world on those two maps. The team has been struggling on Dust 2 in 2025, though. It also regularly bans Mirage.
FaZe Clan and Complexity Gaming have played on a few occasions in the past, but the most notable came just a few days ago. Complexity defeated FaZe Clan 2-0 in the PGL Bucharest group stage to punch its ticket into the playoffs.
FaZe Clan is a narrow betting favorite over Complexity Gaming in the PGL Bucharest third-place decider. The moneylines are 1.65 against 2.21. Thatâs a bit of a turnaround from their last matchup in this tournament, where bookies favored FaZe a bit more.
SEMI-FINALS! Complexity vs G2 â HIGHLIGHTS – PGL Bucharest 2025 | CS2
FaZe Clan should be able to defeat Complexity Gaming in the PGL Bucharest third-place decider match. The trouble here is the simple fact that Complexity has been able to exceed expectations at each step along the way in this tournament.
