Tyloo won its first notable interregional tournament but Complexity Gaming might be sending it home from IEM Cologne with a 0-2 record; can you bet on it, though?

The most recognizable Chinese team won Fissure Playground 1, defeating numerous top-20-ranked teams along the way including Virtus.pro, Astralis, and 3DMAX. Unfortunately for the team, that didn’t translate to momentum in IEM Cologne. The team lost its play-in opener and needs to win two more to get into the group stage. Can Tyloo pull it off?

Complexity Gaming vs Tyloo rosters, recent form, and best maps
Complexity Gaming saw the BLAST Austin Major go horribly awry. AWPer Håkon “hallzerk” Fjærli was forced out of the tournament just days before it was meant to begin. This forced Complexity to bring in a last-minute substitute, which was followed by a quick exit after going 1-3 in the first group stage.
For a team that beat the likes of Team Falcons, Furia, FaZe Clan, Pain Gaming, and Aurora Gaming just a few months prior, this was a disastrous outcome. Still, there was an asterisk attached to that loss. The team wasn’t playing with its primary roster, so surely it would be able to retain some momentum after hallzerk’s return, right?

So far, yes. Complexity returned at Fissure Playground alongside Tyloo. The team cleared the group stage with a handful of nailbiters, but lost in the opening round of the playoffs against SAW. Its IEM Cologne debut didn’t go particularly well either, losing to GamerLegion 2-0.
It’s not an ideal situation, but betting sites seem to be running a fire sale on Complexity over these losses. While losing to SAW was an upset, GamerLegion has quietly been one of the better teams in 2025.
Tyloo’s run in Fissure Playground 1 was commendable, but they’re not yet cemented as any kind of elite-level team. Tyloo also lost its IEM Cologne opener to find itself here and its recent run hasn’t come against the kinds of elite opposition that would warrant giving the team big favorite billing. This all translates to Complexity being a strong value play here, given its chances of winning.

Map pool
- Complexity Gaming has been very strong in 2025 on Anubis and Train, with a win rate around 75% on either map. It’s closer .500 on Nuke and Ancient while being well below the even mark on Inferno and Dust 2.
- Tyloo has a winning record on all maps this year, with Mirage, Inferno, and Anubis being the team’s best. Filtering things down to high-ranked competition, Tyloo’s numbers are a bit more humble but it’s still strong on Inferno while being roughly even everywhere else.
- Anubis is out of the map pool in IEM Cologne. Complexity is in an awkward position but the team was well above .500 with its current core on Overpass, looking at the team’s winrate from January 2023 through the March 2024, when Overpass was shelved. From October 2023, when Tyloo’s current core was formed, to March 2024, Tyloo had a 40% win rate on Overpass.
- Tyloo’s instaban is Dust 2 while Complexity’s is Mirage.

Complexity Gaming vs Tyloo best betting picks and predictions
Complexity Gaming could very well lose to Tyloo, but this match is much closer than the bookmakers believe. Tyloo’s form hasn’t been so strong that it should be expected to wildly exceed its established form in 2025, nor has Complexity been in any kind of shambolic state.
Best picks
- Complexity wins @ 2.20 – This match is close to a coin flip, so the fact that Complexity is being billed as a decent underdog makes this a more intriguing line than it normally would be.
- Complexity wins 2-1 @ 4.02 – Complexity is unlikely to shut out Tyloo, regardless. The map records and preferences suggest a 2-1 is more likely than a 2-0.
- Tyloo wins 2-1 @ 3.40 – On that note, once again, Tyloo has a good chance to win here. This is a good line to look at for bets on the Chinese side.
