Club Introduces New Features, Allowing Normal Users To Post and More
The social platform, Club, which was developed by the co-founders of Kick and Stake, has been largely creator-focused until now, but new features have been released for users to be able to interact.
Club released an alternative to X communities back in April 2026 when the popular social platform decided to remove the feature from its platform. Co-founder Bijan Tehrani had tried to attract top creators before X even removed communities completely, incentivizing with a fast-track signup. The platform then introduced ClubCash, an in-platform currency that fans can give to creators.
Club has now added more features to the platform in a summer update, and these are aimed at making the user experience better. Co-Founder and CEO Henrik Pohlmann announced the update in an X post, announcing the new features that had been shipped.
Users can now post and interact with each other on Club
Club launched as a creator platform, and users could interact through DMs, commenting on posts, or participate in communities. This has now changed as the platform has opened up the option for users to create their own posts; the feature is a major change for both users and Club. Users will be able to post content without being restricted to limited areas where they can post, and Club can benefit through the potential engagement these posts can bring to the platform.
There is still some limitation to this feature, as only approved creator posts appear in the FYP, while normal users’ posts will appear in their followers’ feed. Initially, users were also limited to following only creators, but this has now change — users can follow other users, and creators can also follow users. This change can bring a reciprocal element to how interactions work on Club. Club has also launched the like feature, where creators or users can like posts and comments. Users who join early access can also claim a limited-edition OG Badge.

Editor’s analysis: Club’s new features can help it grow as a social platform
Club’s launch and even its initial announcement highlighted that it was a platform for creators, where they can earn by posting. While this was good news for creators, the platform prioritized them, and users, in contrast, had fewer opportunities and actions such as posting on a profile or following other users were impossible. This made the platform substantially restricted for users, and may have been holding Club back from competing with other social platforms.
These new features indicate that Club may be expanding its model to also enhance the user experience. Allowing users to post and interact on the platform can increase content, recurring users, and also engagement through user interactions. The changed follower system can also allow users to build an audience, which can help Club develop smaller but thriving communities.
Club has still kept certain elements behind established creators, which makes sense given that the platform was initially developed for creators. However, the platform may make becoming a creator on the platform easier for users who start posting on it and build their community. It remains to be seen how Club will develop as it matures, but the platform should continue growing if it can find the right balance between users and creators whilst introducing sizable periodic updates such as this one.
