Cloud9 and LOUD will face off against each other in the quarterfinals of the debut LTA 2025 Cross Conference tournament. While both teams have sizeable fan bases, Cloud9 is the favorite to take the match by a large margin. Still, smart betters will want to know if LOUD has real upset potential.

Cloud9 vs LOUD match overview

The LTA 2025 Cross Conference event is on the horizon. Being the first League of the Americas Cross Conference event, it understandably has a lot of eyes on it. Cloud9 and LOUD are two of the eight teams participating in the tournament and they’ll meet in the fourth and final match of the quarterfinals.

Seeing how the match is slated to be part of a single elimination bracket, both teams must give it their all to win. C9 and LOUD have had mixed showings to date, but LOUD wants to continue a three-match win streak from the LTA South 2025 Split 1. On the other hand, Cloud9’s last match was a loss to 100 Thieves in the LTA North 2025 Split 1 finals.

Cloud9 has been in great form and has more fans rooting for it, regardless of the recent loss. While LOUD is the underdog in this upcoming match, the team can create a major upset, even if the odds suggest it’s unlikely.

Cloud9 LoL roster

Cloud 9 has had consistent top-five placements in recent tournaments, including the LCS 2024 Championship and 2024 Spring Playoffs. LOUD placed third in the LTA South 2025 Split 1 with strong performances against the likes of paiN Gaming and RED Canids.

Below are the rosters for both teams in the upcoming match.

Cloud9

LOUD

Champion pools

Cloud9’s most-picked champions in its last few games have been Sejuani, Yone, and Leona, while LOUD has prioritized Sejuani and Ezreal. Both teams have Sejuani as their strongest jungler, though it’s yet to be seen whether Cloud9’s Blaber or LOUD’s Wiz will get to play as her in the series.

Loud player Route

The LTA 2025 Cross Conference event utilizes the fearless draft system. Thanks to this, a selected champion cannot be played by either team for the rest of the series after it has been chosen. With the match being a best-of-three series, both teams can try first-picking Sejuani in the initial game or ban her and block the other team from utilizing her. A riskier and more unlikely strategy is to save the champion for the second or third game. We expect one or both teams to act on it before then.

Recent stats for both teams

Cloud9 vs LOUD betting odds snapshot

Cloud9 is by far the favorite to win the upcoming game at 1.08 compared to LOUD’s odds 6.30 on LoL betting sites. Cloud9 has a huge probability advantage over the South American team, showcasing its recent performance in competitive play and the overall strength of the North American region relative South American and specifically Brazil.

Cloud9 vs LOUD betting picks & predictions

Cloud9’s recent performances ensure the team has a higher chance of winning. That doesn’t mean LOUD will go down easily though, as the Brazilian team has more recent experience on the international stage thanks to the 2024 Mid-Season Invitational. C9 has given the up the first game in series before going on to win the entire match multiple times recently. This recently happened against both FlyQuest and Dignitas and may happen again here.

While both Cloud9 and LOUD are among the strongest teams in their regions, C9’s aggressive play style may be too much for LOUD to handle, especially considering the South American team’s slower and more methodical approach. That slower pace may work against other teams in the southern conference, but faced with the pressure C9 is likely to apply, LOUD should struggle. Despite Cloud9 being such a strong betting favorite with a relatively small payout, those wanting to bet on the match may find siding with LOUD to be difficult given the seeming difference in form between the two teams.
