| Betting favorite | Cloud9 |
The last time these two teams faced off was to determine the first seed for these playoffs, and FlyQuest fell short by losing 1-2. While the third game was extremely one-sided in favor of C9, will things be any different now that the match is a best-of-five and a spot in the upper bracket final is on the line?

Cloud9 vs FlyQuest match analysis
Blaber may have ended last year by constantly stumbling and falling short as Cloud9’s jungler, but his performance in this new split has been solid. The long-standing jungler helps APA to shine in the middle lane, as seen in the recent match against FlyQuest, and this may very well be Cloud9’s biggest strength today.
With a solid bottom lane and a reliable top laner, it wouldn’t be a stretch to call Cloud9 the strongest professional team in the LCS right now.
FlyQuest has some heavyhitters on its revamped roster, but a lack of experience has been clear. While the team has no problem comfortably winning against weaker teams, it dropped the ball in a third game against Cloud9. Much of this is because the team is overly reliant on its jungler, Gryfinn. While Gryfinn usually shows up, FlyQuest’s bottom lane isn’t able to perform as well when its jungler isn’t in a carry role, which shouldn’t be the case.

FlyQuest should be able to win at least one game, primarily because of Gryfinn’s strength on picks such as Jayce. But the team’s jungler hasn’t shown much diversity in terms of those champion picks, which could cause the entire team to struggle in a drawn-out best-of-five with fearless draft rules in place.
The safer pick may be to take the over on 3.5 maps played, especially since the potential return on those odds is solid.
FlyQuest is coming off a loss here, while C9 hasn’t lost a single match in this LCS Lock-In split so far. It wouldn’t be surprising if Cloud9 went on the offensive from the get-go, possibly getting a quick and easy first blood. Because of this, it may be a good idea to side with Cloud9 both getting that first blood and winning the match, moving on to the upper bracket final.

Cloud9 vs FlyQuest picks & predictions
FlyQuest may have seen a major improvement with its new roster, but the team seemingly hasn’t had the time to really settle into things. By contrast, APA has already started playing well as Cloud9’s new mid-lane carry, which should give the side the win in this match comfortably without going into a fifth game.
Best picks
- Cloud9 to get first blood @ 1.73: Cloud9 won the last time both teams met on stage, which could give it the confidence needed to make risky plays for an early first blood.
- Total maps to be over 3.5 @ 1.53: FlyQuest may win one game before losing the match, potentially making it a good idea to bet on the total maps being over 3.5.
