Here’s How Cinna Became the Second All-Time Most-Subscribed Female Twitch Streamer

Brittany “Cinna” Lynn Watts has developed a remarkable following in recent years, with her content leading her to become the one of the most successful streamers on Twitch.

Cinna is known for her Just Chatting and IRL content, but viewers were surprised when she announced that she would be doing a Cinnathon in August. Some were skeptical about whether Cinna has the consistency and creativity to run a successful subathon, but she has proven her talent, hitting a record peak of roughly 48k concurrent viewers during the event. She also became the second most-subscribed female Twitch streamer while streaming with fellow creator Rachell “Valkyrae” Hofstetter.

Cinnathon helps Cinna land the number 2 most-subscribed spot on Twitch

Cinna started her Cinnathon in August, which is a 31-day, 24/7 livestream where she has collaborated with several top creators. She also taken part in various other activities, including giveaways of Pokémon packs, PCs, iPhones, and she was even seen waxing her legs after reaching subscriber milestones.

Cinna crossed 73.6k subscribers, which broke the record of female streamer Miyoung “Kkatamina” Kim. The interesting thing about this milestone is that Kkatamina was the number one most-subscribed female streamer, but not the overall most-subscribed, based on active subscribers.

Cinna is currently the second most-subscribed Twitch streamer regardless of gender rather than just being on the female creators list; if there was any doubt that the subathon wouldn’t be a success, Cinna has certainly proved them wrong.

The creator has given her audience varying content throughout the event, including gaming and IRL streams, collaborations, and even challenges. This has been a good format, as it decreased the chances of burnout for the streamer or repetitiveness for viewers. The streamer provided unique entertainment throughout, rather than relying on one type of content. A major stream even included the streamer traveling to Disneyland with her dad and providing viewers with more personal content.

Subathons have long been considered a major way for creators to top Twitch’s subscription list. Whether it’s Kai Cenat’s Mafiathon or Ludwig Ahgren’s subathon, both led to the respective streamers reaching the number one spot. Kai Cenat has continued with his Mafiathon, increasing the scale with each iteration. The upcoming Mafiathon may have been teased in a recent stream, but there has been no official confirmation. Ludwig, on the other hand, stopped doing subathons despite his successful 2021 subathon skyrocketing him on Twitch’s most-subscribed streamer list.

What’s next for Cinna?

Cinnathon still has roughly a week left, and Cinna could try to take on popular female vtuber Ironmouse’s subscriber record — Ironmouse had dethroned Kai Cenat in 2024 during her subathon, becoming both the most-subscribed female and overall Twitch streamer. Although Kai Cenat has since taken back his record with Mafiathon 2, Ironmouse has cemented her name in Twitch history. Cinna beating this record seems unlikely, as she has just a few days of Cinnathon remaining, but the streamer may aim for it, as it’s the next logical milestone.

As for her future content, Cinna has displayed that she has what it takes to become an even bigger Twitch streamer. This is why the streamer may continue her subathon content format at a smaller scale to grow even further. While these month-long subathons take a toll on streamers, it’s possible Cinna could tone down the content while still giving her viewers a diverse format and continuing to break records.
