Caps To Be Announced As Third Inductee in the LoL Hall of Legends
After Faker and Uzi were inducted into the Hall of Legends in 2024 and 2025 respectively, the European League of Legends player Caps will be the next to get the same treatment.
League of Legends
has been a cornerstone in the professional gaming scene for over a decade. In that time, a handful of players have managed to leave their mark for all future fans and fellow players to learn from. Riot Games decided to launch the Hall of Legends to honor these exceptional players.
The first inductee was naturally the Unkillable Demon King Faker, followed by the legendary Uzi. Fans were anxiously waiting for who would enter the fray next, and they finally have their answer. It’s safe to say that LEC fans will be extremely happy after learning who the third Hall of Legends player is, with Caps receiving the honor.
Caps gets his own Hall of Legends Tristana skin
After Riot accidentally updated the map to the Hall of Legends 2026 variant, it was revealed that Caps will be the next professional player to get immortalized in the Hall of Legends.
Caps is widely considered one of the best and most consistent European League of Legends players — certainly up there with the
three best LoL players
of all-time — so it makes sense for Riot to want to mark this.
He started his professional career all the way in 2016 and has been one of the most reliable mid-laners for a decade. The Dane has competed with, and even occasionally won, laning phases against powerhouse players such as Faker and Chovy.

The player may currently be playing for G2 Esports, but he has a bunch of achievements under his belt. While Caps hasn’t ever won a World Championship, he has gotten to the grand final twice. He’s also a dominating force in the LEC and won MSI in 2019.
It has to be said that some fans believe that Caps hasn’t earned the right to be inducted into the Hall of Legends. However, it seems as though Riot wants to highlight one region at a time. In this case, Caps is comfortably one of the best choices for European players.

The more debated topic is why Tristana is getting a transcended skin. Faker’s Ahri plays are iconic, and Uzi took Kai’Sa to insane heights. But Tristana hasn’t ever been the champion most associated with Caps. What’s more odd is that Tristana is traditionally an ADC champion, while Caps has always played in the middle lane.
The second champion to accompany Tristana is unknown, but it’ll likely be Syndra or Sylas. Riot hasn’t yet announced that Caps will be added to the Hall of Legends, but the updated map variant clearly shows the player. The official announcement is slated to be on August 17, and that’s when fans will learn more about the LEC player’s HoL skins.
