Steve Aoki partners with BitcoinVIP for crypto betting, casino efforts

Steve Aoki and BitcoinVIP are partnering together at a time when crypto and online betting and casino play are trending sharply upwards. Crypto-based gambling and betting managed to pull in well over $80 billion in 2024. That’s impressive enough as it is, but it’s even more impressive when considering that this number is nearly five times higher than the mark set just two years prior.

The year 2025 is already continuing this trend, as crypto betting and casino platforms processed $26 billion in wagers in the year’s first quarter alone. In doing so, the sector’s rapid acceleration has continued to make itself clear. Crypto betting and casinos are growing fast, which explains why mainstream artists are jumping on the hype wagon and working with companies including BitcoinVIP for their efforts in online casino play.

Celebrities involved in online betting include some of the biggest names in all of pop culture today. Earlier in the year, legendary boxer Floyd Mayweather teamed up with Games Global to launch his official Money Mayweather slot. This was following in the footsteps of Snoop Dogg, one of the most popular musical artists of all time, who had previously partnered with top online gambling platform Roobet in 2023.

While those moves surprised some fans at the time, Steve Aoki’s involvement feels quite natural considering his personal history.

Aoki has himself proclaimed to have been active in the world of crypto and digital currencies for years. That involvement has ranged from launching his very own A0K1VERSE NFT and accompanying community, to collaborating with other NFT artists and blockchain projects. His new partnership with BitcoinVIP fits neatly into that pattern, expanding his footprint into crypto gaming and casino world with planned exclusive rewards, themed content, and a branded collection tied to the platform’s rebrand.

BitcoinVIP CMO Martin Varrand described Steve Aoki as the ideal brand ambassador, saying that Aoki’s personality “matches the brand, the values, and the future plans” of BitcoinVIP.

In its formal announcement, BitcoinVIP described the partnership as part of its “vision to make crypto gaming fair, transparent, rewarding, and genuinely fun.”

With Aoki on board, players will soon gain access to a variety of benefits including:

The partnership also strengthens BitcoinVIP’s push for legitimacy amid an increasingly competitive landscape of the best crypto casino sites. With celebrity-backed projects driving measurable spikes in user acquisition and general attention across the industry, Aoki’s presence is likely to boost BitcoinVIP’s visibility far beyond its existing audience. That’s a major potential win, and it’s the sort of move onlookers should only expect to see more of as these brands jockey for position.
