Drive Discs can make or break a build in Zenless Zone Zero, so ZZZ players will want to know the best ways to get them.
Zenless Zone Zero‘s Drive Discs work like Artifacts in Genshin Impact and Relics in Honkai: Star Rail. No matter how skilled someone is at dodging, tough bosses will tear through them without a good Drive Disc set. With the right Drive Discs, agents can gain stronger stats that will allow them to dish out bigger damage, stagger enemies more quickly, and keep themselves alive.
While some Drive Discs are available early in the first chapter, they often come with weaker stats and aren’t enough to complete a full set. But as the game progresses, players will gain multiple ways to farm Drive Discs. Here’s how.
Zenless Zone Zero offers two primary ways to farm Drive Discs: Routine Cleanup and Drive Disc Tuning. Zenless Zone Zero’s Drive Disc system unlocks after completing Chapter 2 of the Main Story, typically around Interknot level 25 to 27. This is also when players meet Elfy, the owner of Bardic Needle, and Roland from the Scott Outpost.
Routine Cleanup, although costly and battle-heavy, is the most straightforward and reliable way to farm Drive Discs.
Click on Compendium, go to Combat, and select Routine Cleanup, or visit Roland at the Scott Outpost to access it. Completing its various challenges rewards players with specific Drive Disc sets, plating agents, and some dennies.
Listed down below are the challenges in ZZZ, and drive disc sets they provide:
Players should choose their challenges carefully, as each one determines the Drive Disc set they’ll receive. For example, to obtain Branch and Blade Song, they must select Monster Duet. Each run requires 60 Batteries and rewards Drive Disc sets of varying rarities based on the level. At Interknot level 35, players are guaranteed to obtain an S-rank piece.
The second way to get Drive Discs in ZZZ is through Drive Disc Tuning.
Teleport to Bardic Needle in the Sixth Street area. The vinyl shop is located next to the newsstand and across from Random Play. Players then have three Tuning options: Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced Tuning. Tap “Track Setting” to select the preferred Drive Disc set. Beginner Tuning grants B-rank and A-rank Drive Discs, Intermediate Tuning provides A-rank and S-rank, while Advanced Tuning guarantees S-rank Drive Discs.
To obtain Drive Discs in ZZZ through this method, players will need Audio Booster Master Copy, Noise Reduction Master Copy, and Hi-Fi Master Copy. These materials can be acquired by dismantling other Drive Discs.
At Music Store Level 2, players unlock Partitioning, which lets them pick Drive Discs from a specific partition. Hitting Level 3 unlocks Main Stats Orientation, making it possible to choose the main stat for a piece. This comes in handy when trying to get a Partition 5 Drive Disc with an elemental damage bonus, which isn’t the easiest to find otherwise.
