The best way to play The Count slot, a great blast from the past
At a time when many online slots may seem to blend together because of how similar they are to each other, The Count brings a fresh take on the vampire genre with a dark color palette and a retro cartoon inspiration, we’re taking a look at the best way to play it.
A player’s winning potential is always important an important factor when it comes to picking which slot to play. But considering just how many slots there are out there, some players instead look for a particularly attractive look that a slot brings. The Count is a new slot from Hacksaw Gaming that stands out for an art style reminiscent of classic cartoons, taking the player on a trip down memory lane that could be quite rewarding for bettors who know how best to play it.
The Count slot is loaded with charm
The Count is a vampire-themed slot that blends gothic horror with black-and-white cartoon charm not found in many other games.
The slot plays on a 5×5 grid with 19 fixed paylines. The RTP sits at a standard 96.36%, with a hit frequency of 31%. The Count’s high volatility means that wins aren’t too common, but the hits that do land have a good chance of being substantial enough to make you want to jump out of your chair.

Excellent visuals aren’t all that The Count has going for it. The slot lets players play for a max win of 15,000x the base bet amount, which is more than enough to land you a substantial payout. Considering that the starting bet amount ranges from $0.10 to $75, both casual and hardcore slot players are likely to feel accommodated. Whether it’s a large bet or a smaller one, The Count has more than enough features to help players find what they’re looking for with the right amount of luck.
The cartoon art style paired with the black-and-white color palette of the base game gives The Count its unique identity. Charming details like the slot getting more color during its bonus rounds and the exciting expressions the characters display every time the player lands a win showcase the time and effort that went into it. These small touches go a long way in making the slot more fun to play and in helping bettors to navigate the dry spells high-volatility games tend to incur.
How best to play The Count slot
The Count utilizes three types of game modes that work alongside the expanded bloody wilds and wild bat symbols to help slot players win big, and making use of these modes is how best to play the game and realize its winning potential.
There are two primary symbols that players need to learn about before playing The Count. The first is the blood symbol. When part of a winning combination, it expands downward into a bloody wild, with all of the new bloody wild symbols acting as regular wilds that can reveal a multiplier of up to 500x each. Then there’s the wild bat symbol, which does the same as the aforementioned bloody wilds.

Those who want to increase their chances of success will want to roll the epic wild bat symbol after they have enough bloody wild on their screen. When an epic wild bat symbol lands, it already has a multiplier of up to 500x. That isn’t all, as it also spreads its value to every bloody wild symbol and other wild bat symbols, potentially bumping up your potential payout in just seconds.
The Count features three bonus games that make it easier for players to see consistent wins through their play. All of these bonus games give ten free spins, with varying advantages to help players.
- Bat to the Bone requires players to land three FS scatter symbols in the base game. When triggered, it increases the chances of landing wild bat symbols.
- Landing four FS scatter symbols triggers the Rest in Pieces bonus game. When active, a symbol counter tracks low-paying symbols and turns them into wild bats for the rest of the bonus when the counter is filled.
- The last bonus game is the hidden Count on Blood. This game requires players to land five FS scatter symbols in the base game, and it guarantees that at least five wild bat symbols will land on each spin. It also increases the chances of landing epic wild bat symbols while the bonus is active.
Those who want to make the slot’s RNG lean in their favor can utilize the game’s bonus buy features. For a bump in stake, players can increase the chances of triggering a bonus game or guarantee that every spin will yield at least three wild bat symbols. The Count also lets players automatically trigger the Bat to the Bone and Rest in Pieces bonus games for 100x and 300x the bet amount, respectively.
The Count is ultimately a charming slot that stands out from the pack through its unique visuals, art style, and color scheme. Its features and mechanics aren’t too technical, and it retains the feeling of unpredictability and chance of winning. This may very well be your next favorite slot, as long as you don’t mind experiencing a fright or two along the way.
