Valorant has announced the contents of the new 2025 VCT Season Capsule, and we’ve picked out the best drops from the new collection of loot.
Esports teams often make most of their yearly earnings from merch sales, and Valorant competitors are no exception. In 2024, teams earned a combined amount over $44 million from the Champions Collection and Team Capsules during the Valorant Champions Tour. Much of the money raised went to top-performing teams such as EDward Gaming and Team Heretics through the sale of Team Capsules. EDward Gaming specifically will get their own Champions Collection this year, complete with a Phantom and Blade melee. These yearly capsules usually come with a unique theme and a plethora of different skins that players can use in-game.
This year, Valorant is adding the 2025 VCT Season Capsule to its digital goods line-up to help more equitably distribute earnings. The new capsule will see proceeds split among all pro teams and top competitive leagues. Perhaps most importantly, players will also get a chance to use the new and exclusive cosmetics they find inside the capsules.
With only a limited amount of time to purchase the new loot, here are the best drops from the 2025 VCT Season Capsule that players can look forward to decking out their gear with.
By far, the best drop from the 2025 VCT Season Capsule is the unique new Karambit skin.
For the 2025 VCT Season Capsule, Valorant is celebrating the four competitive international regions: EMEA, APAC, Americas, and China. The company has not yet confirmed if all items in a purchased capsule will be centered around one league or a mix. Moreover, players will potentially have to buy multiple Season Capsules to get their most desired regional cosmetic.
The best loot in the VCT Season Capsule is the new VCT Karambit skin. Karambit skins are one of many possible designs to overlay on a melee tactical knife. The VCT skin comes with five different chromas, one for each of the four international leagues plus an additional chroma for the VCT skin. Players who reach the required level will also be able to see a special glow on their melee weapon. Karambit skins often end up being the most expensive skins in-game, and the exclusivity of the annual VCT season capsule skins make it one of the best possible drops.
Buyers can also look forward to seeing regional player cards and gun buddies among the best drops in the 2025 VCT Season Capsule. There are four player cards that feature an animated design for each of the four regions. Additionally, the capsule will contain a gun buddy exclusive to a given region that activates when a weapon is fired.
While no price has been announced just yet for the 2025 edition, the currently available Team Capsules cost $25 USD, or 2,320 Valorant Points. Hopefully for collectors, the value will be enough to offset the costs. Or at least, the cost will be low enough to justify multiple purchases so that players can roll repeatedly for their preferred drop.
Esports fans can purchase the 2025 VCT Season Capsule through the in-game Valorant store starting February 6. They have through the conclusion of the Masters Bangkok event to get a potentially glowing Karambit and stand out as a top fan in-game.
