Best CS2 Players in 2026: Top 10 Pros Ranked

The professional Counter-Strike 2 scene in 2026 is as exciting as ever. We’re entering an era of firepower, where superstars are consistently delivering star-level performances as mechanical skills are at an all-time high. Here are the top 10 CS2 players in 2026.
Top 10 Best Counter-Strike 2 Players in 2026
Below, we’ve ranked the 10 best players in Counter-Strike 2 this year. Our ranking is based on individual skill, firepower, and overall contribution to their teams.
#10 Valerii “b1t” Vakhovskyi

- Rating 3.0 Against Top 20 Teams: 1.12
Opening our list is NAVI’s very own b1t. He’s the longest-standing member of the current NAVI lineup, and it’s pretty easy to see why the team has kept faith in him for so long. B1t played a huge role in NAVI’s success this season, helping the team climb to second in the world rankings.
The Ukrainian rifler struggled throughout 2025, posting just a 1.08 rating against Top 20 teams. But this year, he’s looked back to his very best and has once again looked like one of the strongest rifles in the world.
#9 Drin “makazze” Shaqiri

- Rating 3.0 Against Top 20 Teams: 1.15
Sitting right next to his teammate is NAVI’s newest recruit, makazze. The youngster was promoted from NAVI Junior less than a year ago, but has already become one of the most exciting rookies in the scene. He’s currently the highest-rated player on a roster filled with veterans and Major winners, which says a lot about how good he’s been already.
Still, with his limited experience, makazze’s rating does take an evident hit against Top 5 opponents, dropping to 1.07. We’ll have to give him a bit more time before we call him the next superstar.
#8 Maxim “kyousuke” Lukin
- Rating 3.0 Against Top 20 Teams: 1.17
Speaking of rookies, our next entry is another one. Much like donk, Team Spirit Academy uncovered another diamond in the rough in the form of kyousuke. Team Falcons reportedly had to cough up $2 million to acquire him.
Similar to makazze, kyousuke is still lacking that Tier 1 experience. His rating also tanks against Top 5 opponents, going all the way down to 1.03. But, with the right guidance and a little more time, we’re confident he’ll reach his full potential very soon.
#7 Kaike “KSCERATO” Cerato

- Rating 3.0 Against Top 20 Teams: 1.16
KSCERATO is the oldest player on our list, and he’s making the statement that age is just a number. The Brazilian has been around in the Tier 1 scene for years, reaching multiple peaks throughout his career, but 2026 might be where he truly looks in his element.
His firepower throughout the season has spearheaded FURIA into becoming one of the best teams in the world. With his veteran experience, KSCERATO has been such a reliable presence for FURIA.
#6 Dmitriy “sh1ro” Sokolov
(Image via Helena Kristiansson for ESL)
- Rating 3.0 Against Top 20 Teams: 1.16
Sh1ro is a passive AWPer, and you’ll just silently see him climb to the top of the scoreboard. He rarely takes these flashy aim duels, but he always does his part by picking the best angles and just holding them down under his scope. You’ll see him on the kill feed quietly whittling down the enemy team.
Due to his passive playstyle, you’ll often see sh1ro as the last player alive on Team Spirit, but this is where he really shines. He’s regarded as one of the best closers in the scene. The 24-year-old is hands-down one of the most consistent AWPers in the scene.
#5 Robin “ropz” Kool
(Image via Helena Kristiansson for ESL)
- Rating 3.0 Against Top 20 Teams: 1.14
In January 2025, Team Vitality made arguably the best signing in Counter-Strike history when they recruited ropz. He was already regarded as one of the best riflers of all time, but his stint with the French organization pretty much cemented his legacy.
Within the span of a year, ropz helped Vitality win two Majors and several other S-tier trophies to boot. He doesn’t always have the flashiest impact – he’s the type of guy to win games quietly.
Though he doesn’t have the highest average rating on the list, it’s safe to call him a “Big Game Player.” Unlike the likes of makazze and kyousuke, ropz’s rating actually shoots up to 1.20 when playing against Top 5 teams.
#4 Shahar “flameZ” Shushan
(Image via Stephanie Lindgren for BLAST)
- Rating 3.0 Against Top 20 Teams: 1.19
Another key player in Team Vitality’s dominance in 2026 is flameZ – a player that doesn’t get enough credit. FlameZ plays the entry fragger role for Team Vitality. He’s a team player who will always put the team first.
Despite sacrificing his gameplay, flameZ still posts one of the highest ratings in the world with a consistent 1.19. He’s a soldier who’s never scared to take the opening duel and help his team enter bomb sites as cleanly as possible.
#3 Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov
(Image via Stephanie Lindgren for BLAST)
- Rating 3.0 Against Top 20 Teams: 1.24
If you’re looking for the definition of flashy, m0NESY is your guy. He’s called the Baby GOAT for a reason – he has all the mechanics and charisma to be the next greatest AWPer. With his lightning-fast flicks, it’s safe to say m0NESY is one of the most entertaining players to watch at the moment.
However, m0NESY clearly has a problem with winning titles. At the time of writing, he has lost eight grand final matches in a row, and has been on a severe trophy drought. Despite the lack of results, we can all still agree he’s safely in the big three of Counter-Strike players.
#2 Danil “donk” Kryshkovets
(Image via Helena Kristiansson for ESL)
- Rating 3.0 Against Top 20 Teams: 1.37
The little terminator is only two years into his professional career, and is already looking like a candidate to become the greatest player of all time. Every fan or professional player will agree that donk is easily the best aimer in the world at the moment.
The Russian prodigy plays the entry fragger role. He’ll run into bomb sites and delete multiple opponents in a matter of seconds. By the time you see donk on your screen, your head is probably taken off already. His raw skill is always on full display, and it really feels like this kid’s ceiling is limitless as he continues to redefine what’s possible in CS2.
#1 Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut
(Image via Stephanie Lindgren for BLAST)
- Rating 3.0 Against Top 20 Teams: 1.37
Whether you’re a s1mple fan or not, it’s hard to argue that ZywOo is anything less than one of the greatest Counter-Strike players of all time. If that title still feels like a stretch, it’s safe to say he’s the best player in the world in 2026.
The Frenchman continues to rack up trophies and MVP awards. He’s even claimed 30 MVPs already, which is the most of any player in history. We all know how lethal he is on the AWP, but he’s equally deadly with rifles too. This guy can do it all. Even in his “off games,” ZywOo would still post better stats than most pros’ best performances.
