What benefits do streamers get from gambling sponsors?

Streamers need a stable revenue stream to continue their streaming careers, and even veteran content creators may want to supplement their incomes over time, which for many has brought attention to the potential benefits of taking on betting and gambling sponsors.
Making money from streaming can seem relatively straightforward at first, as livestreaming platforms like Kick and Twitch pay content creators for broadcasting their content to live audiences. This may be an efficient method of getting high revenue for established streamers, but newcomers and those who are established already but still want to increase their earnings may not want to rely solely on traditional methods of streaming income.
There are multiple other avenues they can try to use, with gambling sponsors being one of the most sought-after due to their benefits and the potential for significant revenue.
Casino sponsors can offer set income
This is likely the biggest potential benefit for streamers that depend fully on their streaming revenues to pay their bills. As most content creators know, revenues from just streaming on platforms isn’t always reliable. That’s particularly true for newer or smaller streamers. Earnings fluctuate based on views, subscribers, ads, and other factors.

This is why many streamers may consider gambling and casino sponsors, as they sometimes offer set monthly payments in exchange for being advertised on-stream for a certain number of hours. The income isn’t necessarily performance-dependent, as some sponsors may opt to pay via set per-hour or per-stream rates. Exact payment terms will of course depend on the individual deal negotiated by the streamer and casino sponsors they’re working with.
Affiliate deals are widely available
This is something many of the top-paid gambling streamers use to supplement their streaming income, as affiliate codes and deals allow content creators to earn money from sending their viewers to sign up with partnered betting platforms. The codes are displayed in broadcasts, and viewers have the option to use them to sign up and play with specific benefits.

Regardless of whether the viewers win or lose after signing up, streamers can make money from sending those viewers forward and converting them into paid users. Some deals also offer a flat rate to streamers for each user they refer who then registers online.
Affiliate and promo deals are easier to get than those that offer set income rates, and almost any established streamer can add such a sponsor to their streams. But the amount of money a streamer can generate depends on how many viewers they can bring to their streams, and how many of those viewers they successfully send forward to their affiliated sponsor.
There’s also quite a range to consider when breaking down the nature of affiliate deals that may be available to streamers with various gambling and betting sponsors. Different deals across competing operators are likely to pay out at different rates and with different requirements. Each such opportunity has to be evaluated on its own terms.
Easier sponsorship opportunities
Gambling sponsors are typically more lenient when it comes to signing deals with smaller streamers than are many traditional brands looking to advertise to mass audiences. They usually don’t have as tight of criteria, and will partner with streamers who have even just a decent number of followers and are willing and able to promote the gambling platforms on their streams.
This makes gambling sponsorships potentially beneficial for newer or more niche content creators who don’t boast the massive follower counts of top streamers. Partnering with a sponsor earlier in their career or at a time when growth is slow can give them the push a streamer needs.
Special promotions for streamers
Gambling platforms are known to feature streamers in their promotions or giveaways, which can be an opportunity for greater exposure for associated content creators. Casino partners can also feature affiliated streamer broadcasts on their own websites or social media accounts, and that’s just another way through which content creators can benefit from working with betting and gambling sponsors.

Some casinos also offer streamers demo accounts, free credits, and bet- or deposit-match contracts through their partnerships with streamers, which can enable those streamers to take bigger and higher-risk swings on-stream to potentially attract a broader audience without risking as much of their own money.
Longer-lasting partnerships
Most gambling sponsors prefer to retain streamers for a longer duration rather than just over a one-time deal, which benefits both the casino platforms and the content creators they’re sponsoring.
An ongoing relationship with a content creator can helps gambling platforms become that much more visible to that streamer’s viewers, rather than simply flashing a one-off promotion and hoping for a good response to it.
