BC.Game Launches in Ghana To Expand Its Regulated Reach in Africa

Having received official approval from the Gaming Commission of Ghana, popular crypto casino BC.Game is now to launch in the country, becoming the operator’s third regulated market.
Crypto-focused operators often work in a legal grey area, being accepted in multiple countries without having explicit approval from official bodies. This move from BC.Game, though, is the ideal way for the operator to be able to accept players from the African country.
Having expanded in Mexico and Nigeria, BC.Game has now added Ghana to the list of countries where it operates under local licensing requirements. Despite clear challenges in other jurisdictions, BC.Game is clearly looking to expand into licensed markets wherever possible.
BC.GAME continues rapid expansion by entering Ghana’s market
South Africa, Nigeria, and Kenya have traditionally dominated the African online gambling market, but Ghana seems to be the next big destination.
BC.Game had exited Curaçao late last year because of legal disputes. The operator also lost its UK white-label license, which only drew more attention because of a sponsorship agreement with English football club Leicester City. Since this, the crypto casino and sportsbook has made a concerted effort to move into regulated jurisdictions where possible.

It makes sense for BC.Game to choose Ghana as its next expansion destination. The country has an established licensing framework and an extremely strong interest in football betting. Data collected by H2 Gambling Capital estimates Ghana’s online gross gaming revenue reached $903.5 million in 2025. This means a year-on-year growth of around 24%, which is extremely high for any country, let alone a developing one such as Ghana.
According to BC.Game, the company will be tailoring its platform to the tastes of local customers. In addition to promising to abide by the country’s regulatory requirements, senior legal counsel Adrian Chen stated that BC.Game intends to build a transparent and long-term presence in Ghana. The country’s political stability and status as an emerging market for online gambling must be key reasons for BC.Game expanding in the region.
Not to mention, BC.GAME isn’t the only betting operator to enter the country’s market. Betano also entered the Ghanaian market in early 2026, and it wouldn’t be surprising if more operators follow suit.
Editor’s view
It would be easy to discount BC.Game’s entry into Ghana as small fry, but the reality is that it may well be much more significant. It reflects the operator’s interest in shifting toward licensed, locally regulated gambling. While it has started with Ghana, there’s a good chance that this may spread across Africa.
With plenty of Original games, BC.Game may not be the first to do this, and more operators are likely to follow in their footsteps. The region could ultimately become one of the most important growth areas for online gambling and betting operators, resulting in stronger consumer protection.
