Aurora Gaming is looking to finally win a LAN at the Esports World Cup, but can you bet on them coming close when they need to face Parivision in the playoffs?

The top of 2025’s Dota 2 esports scene has been shared by a handful of teams. Aurora Gaming has not been among them. There’s no question that Aurora is good, but it just hasn’t been able to break through. The team is looking to fix that in the Esports World Cup, but what chance does it have when it faces Parivision in the quarterfinals?

Aurora Gaming vs Parivision match overview

Betting tip: Aurora Gaming technically won its group, but that’s a moral victory rather than a win that indicates a turning point for the team.

Aurora Gaming vs Parivision rosters, recent results, and best heroes

It’s a tough time to be a good Dota 2 esports team. Aurora is a decidedly “good” team, but there are lots of great ones right now. BetBoom Team, Gaimin Gladiators, Team Falcons, Team Liquid, Team Spirit, and Tundra Esports have filled the podium every time and left no room for anybody else.

It’s a tough situation for a team like Aurora Gaming. The team brings together a strong lineup that includes two TI winners from Team Spirit and both veteran and upstart talent, but has struggled to break into that crowded upper echelon of Dota 2 esports.

There’s a hint that this might be changing at the Esports World Cup. Aurora won its group by posting a 5-1 record and beating Tundra Esports 2-1 in the tiebreaker. This earned the team a direct berth to the playoffs without having to play through the elimination stage. Not only that but Parivision is, seemingly, in a weaker state.

The team went 3-3 in its own group, which hints that this may be Aurora’s time to break out. Bettors shouldn’t take the bait, though. This is still the same Parivision that has beaten Aurora time and again throughout 2025.

Aurora Gaming vs Parivision best betting picks and predictions

The betting sites aren’t showing much respect to Aurora Gaming even after a strong group stage showing. That’s warranted. Parivision should be a sizable favorite here, so bettors will need to get creative to find a sizable return.
