Zack “Asmongold” Hoyt carried out his annual cleaning session live during a Kick stream, leaving the room almost unrecognizable once it was finally over and the infamous room was left cleaned.

Asmongold may be one of the biggest streamers on Kick, but cleanliness has certainly never been part of his on-stream persona. Over the years, fans have leaned into that image with running jokes and memes about his hygiene, some of which have gone viral across social media. After being called out online repeatedly, the streamer went on a noticeable cleaning purge in 2024. Judging by the room’s recent condition, though, that clean-living reset didn’t exactly turn into a long-term habit.

During a recent stream, Asmongold went on what has become an annual cleaning session yet again, finding several rotten burritos buried under piles of dirt and clutter along the way.

Fans have long known that cleanliness isn’t exactly Asmongold’s strong suit on stream, which makes his rare cleaning sessions appointment viewing for many of his fans. His reputation took on a more literal meaning when a cockroach was once spotted crawling on his shoulder during a live broadcast. Rather than reacting with panic, he calmly carried the roach in his palm to throw it outside, treating the moment like a routine interruption rather than something truly out of the ordinary.

That incident was followed by a thorough cleaning session on Asmongold’s Kick stream that left his room looking unrecognizable.

“I even got the vacuum cleaner. It took me three hours, my legs hurt, my arms hurt, my back hurts,” Asmongold said afterwards. “I didn’t realize how many rotten burritos were in my room; there were five. I had no idea, I thought there’d be at most two.”

The before photos showed piles upon piles of clothes stacked over chairs, with every seat completely buried. In the after shots, the chairs were at least visible again, even if the room still wouldn’t qualify as spotless by most any reasonable standard. By Asmongold’s own individual benchmarks, though, the space looked respectable enough to at least pass.

Fans even joked about whether the Kick streamer may have uncovered any dead rats during the process, and Asmongold admitted that he was surprised to find none during the cleanup. He was likely joking, but given the dire state of affairs in his room, who could really say?

Asmongold cleaned his room live on stream for what is now the second time, providing a break from his usual reaction content and public drama. The previous cleanup in 2024 turned into a deep scrub that revealed corroded crockery and several wolf spiders crawling through it. Since then, he’s been the target of nonstop jokes, with fans piling on memes and unflattering comparisons, including repeatedly likening him to a roach similar to the one that was once spotted crawling onto his shoulder.

The streamer is likely able to deal with the incessant needling in large part because his streaming proves so lucrative, regardless of the state of his room.
