Zack “Asmongold” Hoyt’s monthly Kick revenue is already jaw-dropping, and the streamer claims it could soar as high as $1 million per month if he quit Twitch and stopped multistreaming. But there’s a reason he still won’t abandon Twitch just yet.

Unlike many Twitch streamers who pick one platform and stick to it, Asmongold has continued multistreaming on both Kick and Twitch despite criticism and repeated bans received on the Amazon-owned platform. Since expanding to Kick, the streamer’s viewership and earnings have skyrocketed upwards, and according to him, he’s still leaving a lot on the table.

During a recent stream, Asmongold revealed his Twitch and Kick earnings. Fans were stunned by the massive gap that exists between the two numbers, with Kick generating far more money for the content creator. Even more surprising was Asmongold claiming his current revenue barely touches what he could earn if he streamed exclusively on Kick.

Asmongold explains why he won’t quit Twitch despite lower revenue

According to Asmongold, he could be making as much as $1 million on Kick if he would just quit streaming on Twitch, but he has explained that for him, “it’s not about money anymore.”

In October alone, Asmongold earned around $165,000 on Kick compared to just $20,000 on Twitch. It’s not because he’s been streaming less either; he’s been multistreaming, sharing identical content across the two platforms. Yet despite the same output, the streamer’s revenue gap between Twitch and Kick continues to widen further.

His current Kick revenue is impressive, but it’s been cut in half due to multistreaming. According to Kick’s terms of use, streamers who multistream their content rather than broadcast it exclusively on Kick are eligible for only 50% of the usual revenue they would earn if that content remained solely on Kick. Asmongold has claimed that his exclusive Kick streams could push his revenues on the platform $1 million if he were to truly commit to them, but that he’s not willing to make such a decision solely for the money it would add to his monthly income.

“If I only stream on Kick, I’d probably make close to $1M a month, because they double your hourly rate if you stream exclusively on Kick,” Asmongold continued. “If I wanted to do something that would make a lot of money, this is a weird thing to talk about, I have so much money now that I could do something that would make a lot more money than streaming at this point.”

Asmongold went on to explain that he knows he has many fans still on Twitch who also enjoy watching his content. It’s because of those fans that he continues multistreaming rather than leaving Twitch altogether.
