Asmongold is out of OTK Network; here's what happened and why
Zack “Asmongold” Hoyt has split from OTK Network, the streaming network he founded, after a string of controversies.
OTK Network has been involved in a string of controversies. While the company has been able to churn out plenty of lighthearted content like the OnlyFangs World of Warcraft guild and fan-focused watch-alongs with Will Neff, there have also been explosive controversies involving the group.
Now, a few months removed from
John “Tectone” Robertson splitting from OTK Network
after he was seemingly accused of domestic abuse, Asmongold is also out the door. But what actually happened and what do both parties have to say about this?
Is Asmongold out of OTK Network?
Asmongold stated that he mutually parted ways with OTK Network on a Twitch stream hosted on February 21, 2025.
When asked whether he had been forced out of the streaming group, Asmongold acknowledged as much and said he’s been out for some time.
“Yeah, I’m not involved with OTK at all. Done. I haven’t been for a while. So yeah, I’m chilling. So if there’s something going on with them or anything else, that’s up to them,” Asmongold said.
The split between the two sides was not a shock for fans of the streamer or the company. However, it comes shortly after
he pushed back against critics
who called on OTK Network to drop him.

Asmongold was famously banned from Twitch for incendiary comments he made about the ongoing conflict in the middle east. While he stated in the aftermath of the ban that he regretted his comments and would pivot towards being more positive, many don’t feel this has happened.
The streamer has pivoted toward creating more politics-focused content, steadily attracting controversy as he goes. This included
defending Elon Musk
after he made a controversial gesture while addressing an audience of political supporters. This led to numerous prominent streamers criticizing him, and calling upon OTK Network and other streamers affiliated with Asmongold to disavow him.
Why did Asmongold and OTK Network split up?
Asmongold stated that he mutually parted ways with OTK Network due to his desire to pivot toward creating more politics-focused content.
He specified that OTK Network was not inherently opposed to him creating this content, but said that it did not conform with what the organization was offering sponsors.
“My content, doing controversial political content, is really hard to synthesize with content that’s not like that. So it’s harder to find sponsors, it’s harder to do things for that reason…I’m going down what I think to be the best direction for my channel, my career, my actions. This is what I want to do as a person,” he said.
OTK Network has not confirmed any of this, and has not issued any indication that he is no longer part of the group.
The OTK Network website
still had Asmongold listed as a sponsored content creator several hours after his initial statement.
