The former OTK streamer Zach “Asmongold” Hoyt surprised his viewers when he received a certified IRS notice during a recent livestream, and this has started a discussion on the creator’s potential net worth.

Asmongold has been streaming on Kick, Twitch, and YouTube, his multistreaming ensuring he gets the best of all three major platforms. The content creator has shared his high Kick earnings several times, which is why viewers were surprised when Asmongold received a notice from the IRS.

Asmongold’s IRS situation explained

In a recent JustChatting stream, Asmongold revealed that he had received a notice from the IRS, and he owes the government agency $397,000.

Following the reveal, the streamer asked his viewers to give him a few minutes so he could send a picture to his accountant. The streamer said that he had to deal with the notice and that it was”not a good day to be me”. He also shared that the notice says “intent to seize your property,” though he positively predicted that the situation would work itself out.

The former OTK creator returned and told his viewers that the $397,000 “was not even a tenth” of how much he has to pay in taxes this year. Asmongold also elaborated that it was a quarterly tax payment and said that he needs to “get tax write-offs”.

Viewers’ reaction was instantaneous, with some questioning why Asmongold doesn’t have a certified accountant fully handling his taxes, because of his high streaming income. Some viewers on the stream also started speculating how much Asmongold’s net worth would be based on the IRS notice and the streamer’s claim of owing even more in taxes.

Asmongold’s net worth

Analysts place Asmongold’s estimated net worth in the $5 million and $10 million range, as of 2026.

Asmongold’s net worth isn’t publicly disclosed, but analysts can estimate it using earnings and other publicly known variables. The streamer’s main earnings come from his Kick, Twitch, and YouTube channels, with KPP likely being the lion’s share of his income. The content creator has previously revealed that he made $295,000 in a month on Kick, while his Twitch earnings for the same month were $32,000. He has also claimed that if he were to quit Twitch and stream exclusively on Kick, he would make $1 million per month.

This large disparity isn’t surprising, as Kick’s KPP has one of the best payouts in the streaming industry. Twitch, on the other hand, takes a larger share of a streamer’s revenue, and subscribers, ads, and other elements fluctuate. Asmongold also makes money from YouTube, and AdSense is another key element in many creators’ earnings. While the exact monthly figures can’t be known, if Asmongold makes approximately $200,000 from all three of his platforms, that can clearly be a great boost for his net worth.

Asmongold also co-founded Starforge Systems, a gaming PC company, and likely has sponsorships and other investments that aren’t public knowledge. Knowing how much Asmongold earns from streaming and assuming that the creator has a decent investment portfolio, a $5 million net worth doesn’t seem like a stretch, meaning that this tax bill is potentially a manageable situation.
