Can We Expect Another GTA 6 Trailer This Month?

Rockstar Games is currently on everyone’s mind with GTA 6’s release date being so close. However, the studio has been somewhat lax when it comes to trailers this year, having released only one proper extended look for fans. Still, that single trailer was enough to break records and build up insane hype on social media.
Since GTA 6 is slated to come out on November 19, the looming question is whether Rockstar Games will release one more trailer before October ends. Traders on the prediction market Polymarket are somewhat divided on the matter, even if the answer would have been a no-brainer for any other game.

Rockstar’s marketing strategy for GTA 6
The biggest trailer players got for GTA 6 was the extended look streamed on Netflix. It gave players their first look at the gameplay and combat, but it didn’t show players too much.
Rockstar has kept GTA 6 mostly under wraps, trying to only show players what they need to know so that the end product can still surprise them. Despite all of the leaks, much of the game’s story and overall open-world content are unknown. However, the game’s Miami-based Vice City setting seems to be its primary marketing selling point.
Considering the Miami Heat and GTA 6 are set to collaborate on November 18 by giving the court a Vice City-themed overhaul, Rockstar’s marketing strategy for GTA 6 is seemingly different. Instead of just utilizing trailers and footage, the studio is apparently going all in on promoting the theme to get players interested.
The game’s collector’s edition was recently revealed to have Vice City-themed merchandise. All of this has already helped GTA 6 garner an extremely high amount of pre-order demand. Pair all of this with the many popular artists who are confirmed to be in the game’s album, and GTA 6’s marketing has already done wonders.
Polymarket traders think there won’t be another trailer this month
via Rockstar Games
Polymarket traders currently believe that there’s only 40% implied probability that GTA 6 will get another trailer in October, which makes sense. The game already has more hype with one good trailer than most games have after exhausted marketing campaigns. It isn’t a stretch to call it the most anticipated game in the world right now.
The prediction market has seen decent trading volume for this market, especially as gaming-related markets go. You can potentially get in on this yourself and even get a $50 trading bonus by using our promo code WINGGPREMAR.
This market specifically states that a trailer is defined as a video with a title or description that explicitly calls it a trailer. This means that things such as the many screenshots that Rockstar previously released on its website or short reels showcasing specific parts of the game won’t count.
☑️ My Take
A decent majority of traders believe that Rockstar won’t release a new trailer for GTA 6. But I don’t think that’s the case. Take-Two has previously stated that the company would amp up marketing for the game during and after the summer. This means that this would be the perfect time to start releasing new content for players to get hyped.
Not to mention, Rockstar has seemingly released something substantial every month. July had screenshots, August had the extended look, and September had details about the Vice City Collection and album. October would be ideal for Rockstar to give GTA 6 one major marketing push. This could be with a trailer highlighting the in-game city, the two playable characters, or one focusing on the story.
Finally, there’s the matter of retaining excitement and attention. The merchandise in GTA 6’s collector’s edition actually divided fans, with some thinking it wasn’t worth the price. Considering this, Rockstar will want to put something out that places the game and company back in everyone’s good graces.
Keeping all of this in mind, I do think that GTA 6 will get at least one more trailer before October ends. It may not be as grand as the extended look that was on Netflix. But fans will want to learn more about the game before making a purchase, and Rockstar likely realizes that.
