Popular Kick streamer Kaitlyn “Amouranth” Michelle Siragusa and and husband Nick Lee were involved in another altercation during a Kick livestream while visiting Peru, and this reportedly led to the streamer and her husband being detained by local authorities. Here’s what we know so far.

Amouranth has been with her husband Nick Lee for near to a decade now, and the couple has frequently been in the news for varying reasons. The couple have frequently argued on stream, with that drama sometimes boiling over into discussion of separation. Some viewers have even speculated that the duo try to incite drama for more attention and views.

Recently, Amouranth and Nick Lee apparently found themselves detained in Peru after an hour-long public argument that played out live on stream.

What happened between Amouranth and Nick Lee?

From what could be gathered during this latest stream, Amouranth had wanted to use her husband’s laptop to alter or even delete Nick Lee’s Kick channel, which led to an intense argument between the two. Lee attempted to get the “family laptop” back, while Amouranth resisted.

The two flung accusations of infidelity at each other, and Amouranth claimed to have videos of her husband mistreating her. For his part, Nick claimed that he had previously been “framed” by Amouranth and her personal assistant for misdeeds dating back to 2018.

Amouranth called for Peruvian law enforcement to intervene. A translator was brought with them, but officers ultimately detained the couple after failing to end the dispute amicably with the translator’s help.

Authorities in Peru haven’t yet issued any formal statements on the couple’s detention at the time of this writing, nor have they disclosed whether any charges are to be filed against them. There has been some speculation that Nick Lee could be deported back to the United States as a result of the dispute, but this remains unconfirmed by the relevant authorities or by the couple at the time of this writing.

Other content creators, such as Matthew “Mizkif” Rinaudo, have weighed in on the situation while expressing opinions about the couple’s behavior. Mizkif claims Amouranth wanted to use the laptop to book a flight out of Peru with the intent to file for divorce. He also alleged that the incident wasn’t scripted, and that the couple behaves like this “all the time.”

This situation has also started a broader discussion about content creators publicizing their personal disputes online, especially because this isn’t the first time that this particular duo has had such an issue play out live on stream. Amouranth and her husband Nick Lee were reportedly vacationing in Peru and using the opportunity to stream something different, but the since-deleted broadcast has left a poor impression on many viewers.
