Through a series of tweets, popular and sometimes controversial streamer and content creator Kaitlyn “Amouranth” Siragusa claims she was almost robbed and had to shoot someone in self-defense.

Amouranth is one of the biggest names in the streaming industry, starting off as a cosplayer and then venturing into ASMR content. She has at times been Twitch’s most-watched female streamer, but her controversial content made sure she butted heads with streaming platforms and viewers alike. The streamer has been banned from Twitch 10 times, and even YouTube has taken action against her channels.

Recently, Amouranth was under fire because of her insensitive remarks against LGBTQIA+ activists. The streamer received significant backlash from the community, with some claiming she was creating attention just to stay in the news. Now, Amourath has appeared in the limelight again after she claimed on X that she was a victim of a home invasion and that she shot a robber.

Amouranth live-tweets alleged burglary at her house

Streamer Amouranth made back-to-back tweets on her X account claiming she was being robbed and that she may have shot one of the attackers during a burglary.

On March 3, Amouranth tweeted on her X account that she was allegedly being “robbed at gunpoint.” The streamer followed up with more tweets claiming the robbers wanted her crypto. She claimed they pulled her out of bed, put a gun to her head, and gave her the phone so she could log in, but she instead tweeted to ask for help.

Amouranth went on to state this it wasn’t a prank, and that calling anyone rather than tweeting “would’ve been a life sentence.” The streamer then claimed that she may have shot one of them. Amouranth said that she was pistol whipped and was left bleeding, but that not all of the blood was hers. She then stated that a SWAT team had arrived, so she was safe and was heading to the hospital.

Many fans are skeptical about the entire situation. Some wonder how the streamer managed to tweet the updates if she was held at gunpoint and was in fear of her life. Others claim this is another way for Amouranth to continue to appear in the limelight, while some express caution around such accusations as this could very well have been a dangerous situation for the streamer.

It’s unclear if Amouranth was really a victim of a home invasion. But this wouldn’t be the first time someone has tried to break into the streamer’s home. In the past, a stalker harassed Amouranth and tried to gain access to her house, but was unsuccessful.
