With Phoebe headlining WuWa version 2.1, leaks have made it easy to prep her materials ahead of the new character’s debut release.
After Roccia and Carlotta, another pair of Rinascita characters is making their way to Wuthering Waves, as teased in the latest drip marketing. In a post on the game’s official social media, Phoebe is introduced as a Spectro resonator wielding a rectifier. Not long after, leaks showcasing her gameplay began making the rounds.
Phoebe is expected to be a Spectro damage dealer upon her release with incredible damage potential, and people are already wondering if she could match Jinhsi in strength. If Phoebe ends up being a favorite, players are in luck as leaks have already revealed the full list of materials needed to upgrade her level and forte.
Ascending Phoebe in Wuthering Waves requires a variation of Whisperin Cores, Cleansing Conch, and Firecracker Jewelweed in ascenscion materials, as well as a hefty number of shell credits. As a Rinascita resonator, it’s no surprise that most of Phoebe’s materials can be found scattered throughout the region.
There are six stages in Phoebe’s ascension, with each one requiring increasingly rare materials:
There are a plethora of ways to farm the materials Phoebe needs for ascension including Whisperin Cores, and in fact, some players may have farmed them while farming Echoes and upgrading Data Banks. The cheapest, albeit most time-consuming, method of acquiring Whisperin Cores is by hunting down monsters that drop them. These foes include the Chasm Guardian, Flautist, Tambourinist, Aero Predator, and more. Other alternatives include buying them directly from the store or weapon shop, or by completing forgery challenges.
Firecracker Jewelweed is an ascension material found only in Rinascita, mostly in the foggy Nimbus Sanctum area. There are only 50 of these in the overworld, but players can grab what they need in a day by stopping by Rosemary in Ragunna City. For 3,000 shell credits each, she’ll sell up to 15 Firecracker Jewelweed.
On the flip side, Cleansing Conch is an item dropped by Lorelei, an Overlord Class boss found in the Nimbus Sanctum region. Players might occasionally notice that this boss isn’t present where it’s supposed to be, but it’s not a bug. Unlike most other bosses, Lorelei only spawns at nighttime.
Maxing out Phoebe’s forte requires ascension materials that include an assortment of Whisperin Cores and Helixes as well as Sentinel’s Dagger.
Here’s the full listing:
Players can only get the Sentinel’s Dagger by defeating the Sentinel Jue in its domain at the peak of Loong’s Crest. To face this boss, players first need to complete Chapter 1, Act 7 of the main quest. Since it’s a weekly boss drop, only three pieces of this material can be earned per week.
Lento, Adagio, Andante, and Presto Helix mainly come from Forgery Challenges, specifically the Flaming Remnants, located in the Forbidden Forest, Huanglong. By spending 40 waveplates, players can complete one run that rewards them with various amounts of helixes along with other upgrade materials.
