Adin Ross seems to admit to viewbotting, says “everybody” does it
Kick streamer Adin Ross surprised his live viewers by seemingly admitting to viewbotting in the form of “inflating” his viewership, and if that wasn’t enough, he also claimed that a large majority of content creators similarly artificially inflate their statistics.
Viewbottting isn’t a new phenomenon, but recently there has been much discussion about the abuse of viewbots to inflate views and generate a higher viewer count and potential payout. Several streamers, including John “Tectone” Robertson, have been called out for viewbotting, and
Tectone even admitted
in a stream that he has used bots.
Kick streamer Adin Ross is the latest to be accused of viewbotting, and he unexpectedly didn’t deny the allegations, instead claiming that “90% of streamers” inflate their views after saying that he himself “openly admits it.”
Adin Ross admits to inflating viewership after being called out by Ice Poseidon
Paul “Ice Poseidon” Denino called out multiple streamers, including Adin Ross, for allegedly using bots to inflate their views, citing their disproportionate chat engagement compared to their high viewership.
Ice Poseidon
claimed during a recent stream
that he has more real viewers than Adin Ross on Kick. He then went on to compare his stats with those of Adin. The streamer highlighted that he had over 12,000 chatters with roughly 15,000 viewers in a stream, while Adin Ross had approximately 5,000 chatters with a total viewership between 50,000 and 60,000. This massive gap in engagement compared to viewers was notable, and even viewers commented on it.
Ice Poseidon’s accusations came after the streamer revealed that he made several thousand dollars during a seven-hour stream through the KPP while others, potentially including Ross, were making much greater amounts.

Adin Ross responded to Ice Poseidon during a stream of his own, agreeing with the claims of viewbotting being rampant. The streamer alleged that both Kick and
Twitch are infested with bots, and also claimed that many view counts aren’t legitimate. He didn’t directly state that he uses viewbots himself, but admitted to “inflating” his viewership while alleging that “everybody” does it.
This led to many expressing their disappointment in Adin Ross for potentially botting to get his views and payout up. Many viewers demanded that streaming platforms, including Kick, take viewbotting more seriously.
Kick recently became the fourth most-watched streaming platform online, but this controversy has started speculation among the platform’s community. Bot abuse has been acknowledged by both
Kick CEO Eddie Craven
and Twitch CEO Dan Clancy. Both CEOs have also claimed that the platforms are actively working to fix the issue, but that the problem yet persists.
Some believe bots have become a natural part of the streaming scene, and that content creators will continue to use them regardless of efforts to counter their effects.
