155.io enters the fintech sector by partnering with Coverd

155.io’s real-world gaming model is already unique, but the company is now expanding beyond traditional betting by partnering with Coverd, a financial app.
When it comes to casino games, 155.io has taken the industry by storm in recent months, offering players the chance to wager on real-world scenarios in a range of formats, including Rush Hour’s CCTV cameras.
A newly-announced partnership with Coverd will now see the games hosted on the fintech company’s app.

How the partnership will work
155.io’s content focuses on real-world games, where players make predictions based on live footage. Coverd has a different approach, where users win rewards for everyday purchases. This collaboration will bring 155.io’s gaming content to Coverd users, adding another highly interactive layer to the finance experience.

How this system is likely to work is simple. Previously, Coverd rewarded users with cashback or other rewards for purchases. With the new system, users will still make purchases, which will trigger a gaming reward interaction. Users’ outcome in the mini game will decide their reward, and Coverd co-founder Albert Wang stated that the company wants users to have the opportunity to win back their purchases.
“Today’s consumer is actively embracing gamified products across every category, so there’s no reason personal finance should stay in the stone age,” Wang said.
“We’re excited to work with 155.io to make financial experiences more interactive and give everyone a chance to live big by winning back their purchases. 155.io’s next-gen content fits perfectly with what we’re building at Coverd.”
The games will likely work the same as with 155.io at a crypto casino, but modified to make them even shorter in duration. Users will watch real-life footage and predict outcomes and unlock their rewards.
155.io built its brand through games like Rush Hour and Snow Run
155.io built its identity in real-world prediction games that didn’t use traditional slot mechanics or RNG systems. The games instead relied on live footage, tasking players with predicting what the outcomes could be. Rush Hour, for instance, was one of the first 155.io games to get serious exposure. The game showed players CCTV footage of cities around the world, and players had to predict traffic outcomes. Rush Hour was a short-form game, with each round lasting under a minute, renowned for unpredictable yet exciting outcomes.
Snow Run is another 155.io title that shows players live footage from ski resorts. Players are tasked with predicting how many skiers or snowboarders would pass through an area. The game has AI mechanics similar to Rush Hour and the same win conditions. Both games offer payouts based on where players predict under, in a range, over, or the exact outcome.
The short-form and mobile-first focus of 155.io’s games is likely why Coverd has partnered with the company. Both companies can benefit mutually while offering a unique experience to users who want rewards for purchasing, and this definitely has the potential to be the first of many financial-iGaming crossover collaborations that focus on synergy.
