155.io Footfall

155.io is renowned for its unique and original games that focus on real-world events, giving bettors the chance to wager on outcomes in a range of unique settings. Now its catalogue has been expanded with the imminent release of Footfall.

The iGaming studio has made a real name for itself in recent years, shaking up the way that crypto casino games can be enjoyed by players, combining everyday events with wagering. Footfall has the potential to be the most engaging yet, combining real-world footage with the extremely popular crash formula, creating something entirely unique.

155.io expands its portfolio with Footfall

Footfall is the latest to entry in 155.io’s growing real-world games portfolio, with this one being merged with the traditional crash genre.

Like Rush Hour CCTV, Footfall involves players viewing real-world clips from public locations. The locations start completely empty, and players must decide when to cash out before the first pedestrian pops into the camera’s view. As soon as even one person shows up in the scene, the game will crash. The concept is as simple as it gets.

First announced by Sam Jones, the founder of 155.io, Footfall stands out because it’s the world’s first crash game with real-world footage. The content is real, the game is easy, the 94% RTP is enticing, and there’s a new scene every few seconds.

It’s essentially the same concept of cashing out before an animated plane crashes or a certain number is reached, but it’s definitely more engaging. The longer players can last without cashing out, the higher the multiplier will go. However, the round ends as soon as the first person shows up on the screen, which means that those who don’t cash out lose out on everything. Fortunately, players can cash out anytime and it is this element of risk that has seen 155.io’s titles become big hits with streamers — Xposed landed a huge win on Rush Hour, for example.

There are a couple of things to keep in mind here. Firstly, the multiplier is uncapped. This means that it continues to climb until someone appears on the screen. Additionally, auto cash-out runs on the 155.io servers, which means that closing the window, shutting down the device, or losing connection doesn’t result in the player losing their cash-out.

Footfall boasts hundreds of live locations worldwide and they change with every round: it may be a shopping mall first, followed by a seemingly abandoned alleyway, but the principle remains the same — the game ends when someone shows up.

According to the official announcement, every round is provably fair, meaning that individual results can be verified. This ties in nicely with the technology that is already implemented at several leading crypto casinos, and given the previous releases from the same provider, we expect this to be offered at Roobet, Stake and Shuffle very soon.
