155.io Unveils Birdie Time — Here’s How the Upcoming Golf Betting Game Works

After the success of 155.io’s recent releases, including Footfall, the innovative game provider is back with another betting game. This time, players bet on the outcome of three putts filmed on a real golf course with Birdie Time. With real golfers and golf greens to watch, this upcoming game is shaping up to be straightforward but with a memorable concept and substantial win potential.
Ahead of general release, the iGaming studio has already highlighted the rules of the game, including what players can expect and the potential factors that can help bettors make more money.
Birdie Time takes 155.io’s portfolio to the golf course
Birdie Time is yet another real-world game made by 155.io, this time taking place on a golf course where sequences of real golfers determine the outcome.
The way Birdie Time works is fairly straightforward. Much like in CCTV Rush Hour, a round starts when the game shows a real-world clip of a golfer walking up and giving a short introduction of themselves. This is arguably the most important time, since players see a golfer card that highlights their identity, putting distance, and the chance of them making their shots. The betting prices are also automatically calculated during this time.
Players will want to use this information to place their bets. The chance of a single putt dropping is always between 20% and 80%, with lower chances bringing higher potential multipliers.

Fortunately, players can put their chips on the board however they want. They can bet on how many of the three putts will drop, what order they’ll make the shot or miss, or even what sort of round it’ll be.
With this step out of the way, betting closes, and the game shows the designated golfer attempting to drop the three putts. Each ball drops into the hole or misses, cancelling every bet that becomes impossible because of the events during the sequence. The round concludes when the third shot is played; winning bets are paid out just a few seconds after the last putt.
A single round takes about 40 seconds, which means there are around 85 rounds in an hour. The kicker is that new rounds are constantly starting around the clock. This means that players aren’t limited by their schedules or time zones.

Birdie Time aims to make golf fun for bettors
The game has several factors that aim to make Birdie Time more fun than simple video slots, either by adding dynamic features or by ensuring transparency with provably fair technology.
According to 155.io, the game has a base RTP of 94%. The maximum multiplier is usually 117.5x, but that can increase based on the type of round. The third putt in any round reveals what sort of round was played. Most rounds will be just plain, but the golf greens can occasionally freeze or catch fire. The studio has confirmed that this title is “releasing soon” and we fully expect it to feature at crypto casinos such as Roobet, where the brand’s other games can be found.
With an 18.8% chance of happening, Frost rounds pay 5x the final determined amount. Fire rounds pay 10x the final amount, but there’s a 9.4% chance of them popping up. The twelve options can be boosted in lightning rounds for a multiplier of up to 587.5x on putt options. This introduces the same elements of risk and randomness that this developer is known for, with streamers recording some major wins.
Watching the same sequences could get repetitive quickly, which is why Birdie Time also switches things up. The game has at least five different golfers who can attempt to shine in front of players. There are also six greens at four courses, which include Formby Hall, Shrigley Hall, Turnberry, and Worsley Park, while putts are from 3 feet to 6 feet.
☑️ Editor’s Take
We have come to expect creativity from 155.io and Birdie Time is arguably the most immersive title yet. While it may be less dramatic than CCTV Snow Run, it looks being a much-needed addition to the studio’s portfolio — and being able to verify each result makes it tailor-made for crypto casinos.
