100 Thieves has seen its roster take a major step forward of late. Having reliable aimers with high technical skills and great teamwork, including Cryocells, bang, and Asuna, the team can now take and win more fights without so often having to back out as was necessary before. The roster changes have already shown great potential in a match against LOUD, though the same can’t be said for Sentinels.

Looking at how Sentinels played in its match against Furia, it now seems that johnqt is the only reliable player on the roster. In particular, reduxx’s gameplay against Furia was very shaky. It took multiple lost rounds for the player to finally realize that maybe the operator just wasn’t the right weapon for the job.
All of this, paired with the general aggression that 100 Thieves has shown so far, spells danger for Sentinels.
100 Thieves has multiple advantages going for it. The team’s more consistent players could help the team to stop Sentinels in pistol rounds, which means siding with 100T there could be a good idea. As for the full match, N4RRATE and johnqt may be good players, but Kyu seemingly doesn’t have the required experience as an IGL to lead SEN to victory against top teams, and that could result in a 100 Thieves win the match without 100T losing a single map.

The new roster rework hasn’t really performed well for the team thus far, and it’s unlikely to improve in such a short time as would be required to rebound in the Americas Kickoff event.
